Ron Palfrey
Director of Creative Services
Ron is the chief creative officer and leads the design team of The Nissen Group and offers over 30 years of experience in art and graphic design. His energy and creativity gives a unique and dynamic perspective to The Nissen Group’s efforts in satisfying their client’s needs.
He retired after 20 years from Verizon MultiMedia, a division of Verizon Communications Inc., as their lead Senior Graphic Designer, with a focus on the Consumer, Incentive and Event Marketing groups there.
With 30 years in Southern California, Ron’s areas of creative involvement spanned the motion picture (Paramount Studios, Disney’s Burbank Studios) and the television industry (NBC), professional and collegiate sports (NFL, NCAA Men’s Basketball), senior PGA golfing events (Byron Nelson Classic, SunCoast Classic), electronics and electronic gaming industry (Clarion, Atari), and many other diverse fields.
He has had the pleasure of working with many celebrities over the years, such as Muhammed Ali, Bo & John Derek, George Burns, Peter Marshall, James Earl Jones, Martin Landau, and Vanna White, to name a few. He has also worked with some of the greatest sports figures of the day, like Kobe Bryant and Ronde & Tiki Barber, plus great music talents such as Al Jarreau and Alicia Keys.
After graduating from St. Mary’s College of Maryland, Ron started his career as a designer with the Smithsonian Institution’s Museum of Natural History before moving to the west coast and working for two of the largest advertising agencies in the country, J. Walter Thompson and Foote, Cone & Belding.
