Polk State College, then Polk Community College, wanted to change the image they had as a “last resort” institution with falling enrollment numbers that were in single digits since the inception of the college.
The Nissen Group created a “Discover PCC/PSC” campaign giving them a new and more contemporary look that was more appealing to the younger generation beginning to enroll in college. This “look” spanned all forms of traditional advertising, along with new media.
New logos and marks were established and a style sheet to encourage strong branding of the college.
Since the implementation of this new branding campaign, Polk State College has experienced double-digit enrollment (Fall 2009 enrollment was up 17%) every quarter for the past 2 years, with the college population jumping to over 10,000 students.
